Meeting of the Minds

This week we had a faculty meeting where we had a chance to work on some professional team building. We had to examine our school improvement plan. The principal and I presented the plan to the staff. The most important part was looking at the goals that we set this year for reading, math, discipline, and parental involvement. The best part of presenting this plan was the manner in which everyone reflectively thought about ways to make our school better. People seemed genuinely interested in what they would have to do in the classroom to better our students.

I guess when I reflect on it - I start to see just how important building professional relationships are as well as personal relationships. If we can all continue to stay focused on our goals then perhaps when things get difficult then we can relate back to those goals.
